"This was my introduction to permaculture, regenerative gardening, and the community that forms around it. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and guide. I learned so much along the way with such amazing people and resources. Megan’s Permaculture Design Course will change your life! Not only will you learn how to design food forests which will provide you and your family with food and medicine, but you will also meet and connect with incredible people. People that will instantly become your family, people that are like-minded and will make you feel like you’ve known them for years, so comfortable they feel like home. Megan is a beautiful soul who will light your path in reconnecting with the living world, show you how to fall love with everything and everyone, even yourself. This was my first real experience connecting with the living world where I can now see the beauty in all, and really just love all. Thank you so much Megan, this will always be my best, most life changing experience."

Transformational. I am leaving this course filled with possibilities that were not in my consciousness prior to entering. I have been challenged on a personal, social and energetic level to embrace that which is outside of my control and see the beauty of natural communities (plants and people) which at first glance can seem chaotic but ultimately flow into the whole in a balanced way. My biggest takeaway was that there is a beautiful growing community of people in the world looking to create lifestyles and connections both in tune with themselves and nature. This class creates strands in this web of people and opens up potentials that would otherwise remain hidden. If you feel called to take this course, then you have arrived at the right choice. Let go of your doubts, time constraints, fears and anxieties and just show up. If permaculture is a bit of a mystery to you, don’t worry, we all stumbled into it in our own way. You don’t have to know anything about growing plants or gardening design to fit right in. This is a group of like minded people who are all arriving at the same conclusion - a community which surrounds itself in nature and nurtures the gift that is given with gratitude, is a community worth showing up for. Just show up, you won’t regret it.

Life shifting. Every now and then something special comes along to change your path in a new, beautiful direction. This course was beautiful. Megan is wise, talented, and provides an excellent structured program to truly learn the foundation and skills of permaculture. The fieldtrips, working on site and visiting multiple gardens, is wonderful team building and knowledge. You’ll make lots of new friends and learn so much to create your own permaculture garden, and help others do the same.

"Prior to taking Megan’s class, I had read and learned about permaculture yet felt intimidated to start any project on my own. Megan’s course has forever changed me. Her classes which started with the basic tenets of permaculture to now more in-depth topics have always been fun and motivational. Through her calm manner of teaching she creates an atmosphere where our group feels comfortable sharing experiences as we learn from her and one another. This class has definitely inspired me to implement the life-changing permaculture practices at home and beyond!"

I highly recommend this course. You will come out with a new perspective on life and the beautiful harmony of our existence with Mother Nature. I would sum up my experience by saying that this class has opened my eyes to the living world here in South Florida and beyond. I feel better about the future and am grateful for people like Megan, Leann, and our community. Thank you Megan and the whole PDC crew for sharing your love and knowledge for growing food and friendships that will last a lifetime.

"Life changing! The knowledge and place for individuals to find a loving, supportive community. Megan and Leann provide a beautiful, safe place for one to learn. For new students don’t hesitate to sign up. Before my PDC course I had no knowledge of what permaculture meant. Now I am beyond excited to share what I’ve learned with my community. The memories made will forever remain within me. Thank you!"

"This course will change the way you look at the world, our planet, and your place within it. When I attended a master gardener program a few years ago, I was mostly curious about plants and the science of horticulture. Megan's PDC class builds from that more granular focus to a much more expansive and far more profound level- that being our collective interconnectedness with nature, our food, and the magical, yet delicate, relationships between all living things.
You will learn about the invisible, interdependent, and ever moving energy systems happening behind the scenes in nature. Megan, through her deep and contagious connection to mother earth, will teach you how to work with these systems. You will learn that you are not just simply a witness to these systems and relationships, but more importantly, how you yourself are an integral part of the system, and how you as a human being have a unique capacity to bring about change and balance to the systems around you.
This course will awaken your sense of connection to all living things, including the food you eat. It will teach you the importance of balance in both living systems, as well as within yourself. Your sense of personal power will grow as you gain confidence in your ability to recognize, adapt, and respond to changes within the system. In the same way that a giant Live Oak stands majestically spreading its branches to absorb the sun's energy, while at the same time creating a habitat for wildlife and generously returning its life force energy back to the smaller life forms on the forest floor to support their growth, so too is Megan's passion for sharing her energy, knowledge, and mentorship with her students. I would highly recommend Megan's PDC course to anyone seeking a stronger connection to nature, their food, and themselves."

"I could not recommend Megan’s PDC course enough. I have been trying to complete a PDC course for about 10 years but I did not have the time or funds to do an intensive 2 week course. I am so grateful to Megan for making this PDC course accessible and affordable. Her passion and reverence for the land is apparent. We need more people within the permaculture field like Megan who recognize that this information should be available for all- especially communities who historically lack access to information, resources and fresh produce."

"When Megan offered the Permaculture Design Certification course, I knew I had to seize the moment. I am so glad I did! After watching a film about regenerative agriculture and carbon sequestration, I wondered what small part I could play in being part of the solution to our modern way of living that is disconnected with nature and each other. I have been very worried about the direction we people have been taking the planet. I was interested in community gardens and urban farms years ago, but I had let other career goals, and chronic illnesses, cause me to forget what was important. I had a longing to get my hands in the dirt before it was too late for me, and to add edible and medicinal plants to the landscape. And I longed to be involved in a community of people living in a way that takes the planet and our communities in a better direction- caring for the planet and each other the way I believe God intended us to. I sought online to learn more. I wondered who is doing this sort of thing in my local area? When I came across some of Megan’s permaculture video classes, I knew she had the information I wanted. I feel that the knowledge and encouragement Megan has provided through the PDC course and other offerings, has put me back on the path to living that new, more connected, way of life."
- Kim K, July '21
"Megan’s generosity in sharing her extensive plant knowledge builds confidence in the field, her compassion for the planet and people open minds to better ways of living, gardening and her active passion for permaculture makes her a fantastic permaculture ambassador. I am grateful for Megan and for this course. If you are lucky enough to get the chance to take permaculture design certification with Megan Kelley - do it!"

"As a backyard gardener, this PDC has stirred a desire to learn more. With each classmates unique hurdles in their own gardens, I’ve learned a great deal of situations that I didn’t know existed. The ease in which Megan allows for the flow of conversation makes this class way more substantial than just going online to do your own research. Megan’s teaching style is encouraging, sharing, and inviting. With her information and direction, I know I’m completing this course with much more than I imagined. This class has been a new valuable tool in my backyard!"

Megan is an incredible teacher who goes above and beyond to make her classes interesting and interactive, while also being a phenomenal resource to students. I've learned so much about gardening in the tropics and feel much more confident about creating my own garden using sustainable techniques and selecting the right kind of plants for our climate, honestly I just feel connected to nature in a way like never before.
