Whether you’re looking to start a garden and aren’t sure where to begin or wondering how to transition an existing system toward regenerative practices, this option is to connect with Megan on a 60 minute phone call or zoom session to have your questions answered.
Online Session Topics:
A site assessment is the perfect way to gain a deeper understanding and relationship with the land you live on. Assessments are available for both personal and communal lots. Megan specializes in community gardens and loves bringing them to life for a neighborhood to gather, learn, and grow.
The session will begin with a walk to identify existing plants. You’ll learn valuable information on edible & medicinal “weeds” growing on your site and useful wild plants already present in your system. Soil conditions are assessed and suggestions will be provided for regenerative soil building strategies. Hydrology is then assessed and suggestions are provided for catching and storing water. Important overall patterns of your land are discussed – sunlight, wind, and significant existing sectors / influences.
You will have the opportunity to share your vision and desired yields for your space. Yields are what you want to get out of a site, from establishing food security to creating a wildlife habitat or connecting with the living world. "Yields are only limited by your imagination” – Bill Mollison.
Your site assessment concludes with preliminary suggestions and ideas for your space provided by Megan. With a greater understanding of the land and vision, a detailed design can now be created.
